Application for a NCMM License Plate

The North Carolina Maritime Museum has begun a campaign to have new license plates printed that have a great conservation message. By purchasing the NC Maritime Museum special license plate you will be:

  • Supporting the museum's research, conservation, and education programs,
  • Demonstrating your interest in protecting bottlenose dolphins and their habitat, and
  • Making your car look better!

"We did it!! As of August 18th, 2002 the Div. of Motor Vehicles has begun distributing the plates. Thanks to all of the applicants, especially the 1st 300 on the linked list below, for your interest and support. People seeking an application for a Maritime Museum "Protect Wild Dolphins" license plate can either go to their local license plate agency and/or contact DMV at (919) 861-3575 in addition to visiting the Friends of the Museum or Cape Lookout Studies Program (http://capelookoutstudies.org/) web sites. We are currently listed on the NC DMV web site's Special
License Plate page under "Coming Soon" but our plate will soon be
featured with the rest. Applications with checks can now either go to the Friends of the Museum or DMV."

Please encourage others to mail their applications in soon. Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Keith Rittmaster
Natural Science Curator
