The North Carolina Tall Ship Society

“To bring tall ships and related activities
to Carteret County and North Carolina
with ongoing efforts promoting
interest in tall ships and
maritime heritage education
for all.”

The North Carolina Maritime Museum has established an organization (under the auspices of the Friends of the Museum) that will endeavor to bring tall ships to Carteret County and North Carolina on an ongoing basis.

Pepsi Americas’ Sail 2006 will bring many Class A and Class B sailing ships to our ports with tens of thousands of North Carolina residents and visitors from around the region, and beyond, having the opportunity to view and board these magnificent vessels.

This new membership supported group will support these efforts and then continue in the wake of this once-in-a-lifetime event and spearhead the museum’s efforts to host individual ships in the years ahead.

Annual membership dues start at just $50 (plus a Friends membership, @ $25 and up) with benefits that include volunteer opportunities and special events that will involve contact with visiting tall ships from all over the world.
